Dernières nouvelles de l'entreprise Rubber Tracks: When to Replace & How to Reduce Wear

Rubber tracks are widely used on mini excavators, compact track loaders and small crawler equipment. They protect asphalt, lawn and concrete surfaces from damage, which metal tracks cannot do. Even though rubber tracks are flexible, they still wear down quickly with wrong operation and poor maintenance. Common damage includes rubber cracking, core metal breaking, lug tearing and track stretching. Many customers ask how long rubber tracks can last, and the answer depends largely on working conditions and operating habits.

Driving on sharp rock, scrap metal, broken concrete will cut the rubber surface rapidly. Frequent sharp turning on hard ground is another big killer. To extend service life, try to avoid turning in place on rough hard surfaces. Keep the proper track tension; too loose tracks are easy to derail, while too tight ones stretch the internal steel cords. Clean stones stuck between track lugs every day. Inspect the rubber surface and internal metal core regularly. If you see deep cracks, exposed steel cords or broken lugs, do not wait until the track snaps on site. It is safer to prepare a new rubber track in advance. High-quality rubber tracks use reinforced steel cords and anti-aging rubber compound for stable performance.
